Three National Geographic photographers - Matthieu Paley, Ami Vitale & Kiliii Yüyan - set off on a 15 day road trip in a yellow RV to explore Canada's eastern seaboard. Their mission? To find out what life is truly like for the salt of the Earth Canadians who live here...

We joined the trio on a whirlwind tour of Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, discovering Mi'kmaq indigenous dances, taking in sunken world-war II ships, foraging in forests, sampling fragrant honey from resilient bees and Atlantic oysters fresh off the seabed, joining kitchen parties and generally diving into the lifestyle in this singular part of Canada. The outcome — a 12 minute film that oculd have been 30 or more, plus articles and galleries.
