Year Three of our partnership with Prada and National Geographic, this high-profile global campaign comprised TV spots, hero films, cutdowns, photo essays and billboards including one in Times Square. Sea Beyond: A Blue Future tells four ocean stories from around the world as part of Prada’s Sea Beyond partnership with UNESCO-IOC. The team travelled to Mexico and Norway, with Prada Ambassadors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sadie Sink and Sea Beyond Goodwill Ambassadors, Valentina Gottlieb and Giovanni Chimienti, learning about whale sharks, kelp forests, marine plastics and underwater noise pollution.

Plastic pollution is a huge issue in the once-pristine Arctic - but in Norway one of the biggest coastal cleanups in the world is underway - including in the spectacular Lofoten Archipelago. Meanwhile, marine biologist, Heike Vester, studies the impact of noise pollution from seismic surveys and shipping on cetaceans in north Norway. In Mexico, marine biologist Alberto García-Baciero and Rodrigo Beas study endangered whale sharks, kelp forests respectively in some of Mexico’s most productive waters.
